The pillow/bed got soaked with hot puppies pee pee that penetrated the washable outer cover and soaked the foam. I removed the outer cover and cut the inner pillow case and poured half into half of the foam into the washing machine. I added oxyclean and gain. Once the wash cycle was done I used a shop vacuum to remove the shredded foam and poured it into the dryer. On the second wash load I also added the inner pillow case after dumped the rest of the foam into the washer. With any luck I will have this fresh and clean in 3 wash loads. It’s not just about the money, it was also fun to try to figure out how to do it and then put the plan into action. **** BONUS While I was doing this I can up with a pretty good idea. You could buy one of these pillow and order some Jersey knit pillow cases or regular pillow cases. You could take some of the shredded foam and put into the pillow case of your choice and use some alligator clips to fold over a secure the end of the pillow case and you could you test it out and either add or take away shredded foam until you come up with the perfect custom pillow for yourself. Then just sow up the end and throw another pillow case. Once you’re done you’ll have enough material left over to make all your family and friends custom pillows!!!
