Next time you buy green onions for a recipe, cut them about 2 inches from the roots and replant them either in a cup of water or in soil. Water every day for a couple weeks and you’ll slowly see the shoots grow back into place. Can do this a few times before they go weird and the roots die out. It was too hot here and the ends dried out this time around but you can just trim them later while harvesting. The same trick works for romaine lettuce, chives, and many other plants that grow vertical shoots like this. submitted by /u/North_Ad_1504 |
