Has anyone bought these before? Do they actually work as laundry detergent?

I was hoping to find some homemade bulk powder detergent (my mom buys hers out of the back of a ladies car where they live and I’m jealous) and I found a ton of posts similar to this instead. I don’t want to drive to go pick this up only for it to not work as a detergent or destroy my old washer lol. So that being said, do any of yall have any experience buying these huge buckets of detergent? I should also note: I DO NOT CARE if they’re brand named detergent, I don’t care if it’s gain or tide, I just want detergent lmao
